Loeb Music Library

The Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library is the primary repository of musical materials at Harvard. The Library's collections support research in a wide variety of musical disciplines including historical musicology, music theory, ethnomusicology, composition and historically informed performance practice.

The Isham Memorial Library is a special library adjunct to the Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library. It is dedicated to research with primary sources and serves as a major resource for scholarly research in music. Collections housed in Isham include microforms, published facsimiles, rare books and manuscripts, and Harvard dissertations in music.

Classes working with Isham materials meet in the Merritt Room, a rare books room within Isham.

Recent classes at the Loeb Music Library include Seminar with Nicholas McGegan, Music 97b and Early Music Topics: Notation.
